EXCITING NEW DURHAM CITY HOTEL OPENING

A new 4**** Radisson SAS Hotel is due to open in November 2008, offering conference facilities for up to 600 theatre style plus 8 additional meeting rooms, 207 bedrooms most having cathedral views and an indoor Leisure Club & Treatment Rooms.

The hotel is located on the banks of the River Wear in the city centre, just a short walk from the mainline railway station with its excellent east coat mainline links to Scotland (Edinburgh 2 hours) & London.(2.5 hours). There is also car parking on site for 130 cars with 11 accessible spaces.

VAST NEW DEVELOPMENT @ HOLIDAY INN GLASGOW WEST , BOTHWELL STREET

The Holiday Inn Glasgow West on Bothwell Street has been demolished and two new hotels and a conference centre will take its place.

The new hotels include a 300-bedroom 4 star Holiday Inn with a 275-bedroom Express by Holiday adjacent. The two hotels will complement each other and both will serve a dedicated conference centre with a range of facilities including a main room to seat up to 1000 delegates. The project, costing around £100million, will be known as the Bothwell Plaza. Opening dates have not yet been announced

Bothwell Plaza is in the heart of Glasgow’s business quarter and a short walk from Glasgow Central station.

Arbroath set a British soccer record in 1885 by beating Bon Accord 36-0 in the Scottish Cup, thanks in part to 13 goals from centre-forward John Petrie. Dundee Harp ran them close on the same day, by beating Aberdeen Rovers 35-0.
